Dining Services Assistant/Dishwasher
The dishwasher is a key member of the dining team tasked with ensuring proper cleaning and sanitation of service ware and cooking ware in order to keep our residents and guest safe. This role is the key position to
providing our residents with delicious home cooked meals as our team couldn’t produce that without clean and sanitized dishware.
Specific Task/Duties
- Ensure proper sanitation of dishware, glassware, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and minor/major kitchen equipment. Maintain a sanitary and clean working environment. Assist in deep cleaning of kitchen and equipment.
- Operate ware washing machine in a safe and efficient manor according to manufacture recommendations. Oversee and monitor ware washing machine detergent, rise additives, and sanitizer levels to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation.
- Remove any broken or damaged dishware, glassware, flatware, utensils, pots, or pans from service rotation. Empty at refuse bins and breakdown boxes.
- Attend all required department/community meetings, in services, or trainings.
- Build positive relationships with residents, employees and coworkers.

Position Requirements
- High School dipoloma or equivalent.
